A men's shoulder cloth among the tribes in Nagaland, Eastern-most India. The red squares are made of shaved dog hair, soaked in the river for a long period to catch the iron, dyeing them red. Hand woven, hand spun. Cowrie shells hand-sewn, indicating a position of power and wealth. A marvelous, rare, powerful piece.
