The Bangladesh Dress
Every story of ashes dreams of a phoenix. Two years of meticulous silk-cultivation, hand-dyeing, hand-weaving, and hand-work in intricate kantha stitches, completed by 4 complimentary women's cooperatives in Bangladesh, were fruitless when the fabric was ruined by tailor's pen marks. The garments, first designed by Charlotte Moss, were rendered unsellable. Crestfallen, we went to town remaking the garment, creating a dress from the former tunic. Voila. A silk phoenix.
Stylist tip: this dress looks wonderful as is, or would also make a fabulous tunic. Two pockets on the front (and who doesn't like pockets?). This dress runs small, we recommend sizing up. Dry clean.
