Sparkle for Haiti Ornament: Green and Red Beads

When Dayanne Danier arrived in Charleston this fall, serving as the guest of honor at the Ibu Foundation's fall fundraiser, she brought with her stories of the Bien Abyé artisans in Haiti and how support following the earthquake had buoyed their families in dark times. She talked of their resilient spirit and how at her recent visit, their smiles and eyes sparkled with hope. Then she pulled from her bag a brilliant surprise—shimmering orbs, hand-beaded with sequins that reflected the light as they twisted and turned. Ornaments fit for a majestic fir tree.
