Extra Long Shirt: Red
A brand new rendition of our favorite Mud Silk. An ancient technique practiced for 2500 years in the Guangdong Province of China. Silk dyed with dried, ground yam is laid out in fields and slathered in the iron-rich mud of the region for weeks, which is then rinsed in the river. It's rare, this silk. Called Whispering cloud, Tea Silk, Singing Silk. Only a few pieces can be produced each year in concert with the distinct elements of this region. And it gets better with each wearing, lasting a lifetime.
Designed by Marcella Echavarria in conjunction with the artisans of the Pearl River, wear this piece over the coordinating pants for a very chic ensemble.
Stylist Tip: reversible - one side features a deep black sheen and the other a sizzling red if you want to spice it up. Buttons stop midway and can be worn opened or closed as you please. Long center pleat that gives this tunic volume and drape. Two large pockets to carry everything you may need!
