Each embroidered square was strategically placed by hand - achieving its perfectly balanced design. Working with women taking refuge from war torn areas in the Middle East, we erupted with genuine excitement as we learned that the operative served as a means for each woman to maintain a steady income for their family. Often times, these ladies are provided with enough means to seek medical attention for the first time in their lives. Truly an empowering garment of strength and dignity for those who create it, and those who take comfort in it too.
