The Bangladesh Jacket
Every story of ashes dreams of a phoenix. Two years of meticulous silk-cultivation, hand-dyeing, hand-weaving, and hand-work in intricate kantha stitches, completed by 4 complimentary women's cooperatives in Bangladesh, were fruitless when the fabric was ruined by tailor's pen marks. The garments, first designed by Charlotte Moss, were rendered unsellable. Crestfallen, we went to town remaking the garment. Voila. A silk phoenix.
Stylist Tip: This jacket runs small in the shoulders and we recommend sizing up. A-line shape with side slits for voluminous movement. This can be worn beautifully over a striking red or citron dress, or even over a crisp white buttoned up shirt and jeans. The possibilities are endless!
